【Objective】
Solution to fungi contamination mechanism and measures of prevention
【Result】
Found antibacterial compounds. Antibacterial activities were promoted by
citral and citronellal. However, its activities are not strong enough.
Per further tests revealed the existence of C15H22O (nootkatone). With
concentration of 500 μg/mL, nootkatone inhibited 90% of growth of P. digitatum
and F. oxysporum and inhibited the growth of P. italicum and G. candidum
completely. Nootkatone was detected from Amanatsu, Iyokann, and Hassaku
as well as GF.
